This recipe is from Matthew Kenney owner and extremely talented chef of M.A.K.E. in Santa Monica, CA. This pudding is UH-mazing and one of my favorite desserts. It is my birthday month and I will be celebrating by making a variety of vegan, gluten free treats!
- 2 avocados
- 1 cup almond milk
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 3/4 cup cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Blend until smooth. I like to add banana, walnuts, and coconut. I recently tried it with strawberries and it was bomb! Enjoy!
Jujube, also known as the Chinese date, are one of my favorite fruits for making a delicious tea. I absolutely love jujube’s! Packed with vitamins and nutrients jujube’s are beneficial to your health in many ways. Listed below are some of its many benefits.
- Stress / Anxiety reliever
- Digestive and Cleansing aid
- Lower blood pressure
- Loaded with 18 important amino acids
- Great source of energy
- Loaded with magnesium, potassium, copper, niacin, calcium, manganese, phosphorus, and iron
- Used for treating coughs, cold, and the flu
Just to name a few!
For my tea I chopped 6 dried jujubes, brought them to a boil in about 2-2.5 cups water, and let them simmer. It can be boiled with ginger and cinnamon, although today I was out of both :p Once you’ve enjoyed your tea you can boil the jujubes in another batch of water for a second serving.
If I ever feel like cereal, this is what I eat. Its a much smaller bowl but satisfying non the less.
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- almond or coconut milk
Equal portions of seeds and milk to your liking 🙂 I usually mix the seeds and measure table spoons to the amount I’m hungry for. Simple. Enjoy!
